In 1926, Scottish inventor John Logie Baird gave the first public demonstration of a television in Frith Street, Soho. Since then, the bohemian Soho estate has been a media hub, attracting numerous broadcasters, publishers and producers into the area. Popular as Soho is, imitations have sprung up in New York and even Hong Kong.
